What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") is a Japanese word translated as "universal life force." The "rei" represents spirit, soul, and universal consciousness; the "ki," energy, force and breath of life. This healing practice promotes relaxation and balance on emotional, mental, and physical levels by attuning to natural wellbeing. Reiki offers a gentle method of hands on healing as taught by Mikao Usui, a practitioner of healing arts in 20th century Japan. Reiki has no known contraindications and can be used in any setting
Who can benefit from Reiki?
Reiki can only do good and Reiki is for everyone: it heals adults, babies, toddlers, children, elders, animal companions, and plants. Reiki offers stress reduction, which aids in the bodies natural healing response. This stress reduction allows us to retain harmonious peaceful states of mind, and thus facilitate our own balance and wellness. Reiki helps to process emotions and aids in relieving psychological and physical pain.
